Anotace:
Tis article deals with economic activity in relation to childcare and education level. It focuses on work-life
balance using data from the Labour Force Survey and especially from an ad-hoc module felded in 2018. Firstly,
it analyses economic activity and inactivity and employment and unemployment according to education level.
Secondly, it explores fexible working hours and the use of childcare services by women. Te topic of this
article is oriented towards economic demography, which is the part of demography that plays a signifcant role
in countries that currently have an ageing population.
Major changes have also been observed in the educational structure of the population in recent years, along
with some specifc changes among people with a tertiary education in terms of how they reconcile family
and work life. Tese changes currently need be devoted increasing attention, especially in terms of current
planning for a future pro-natalist policy, pension reforms, and so forth.
