Anotace:
this article describes the 3d scanning method and its application
as a very useful tool for the engineering industry. the
main part is focused on case studies from foundry practice,
where the non-contact 3d scanning method was used as
a quick and accurate method for evaluating dimensional deviations
from the nominal cad model. the first study documents
the evaluation of the dimensional accuracy of a metal
mould for low-pressure casting from aluminium alloys. the
second study focuses on the analysis of the produced aluminium
casting itself. the conclusion is devoted to a summary
of the benefits in the case studies and also points to
other possibilities of using this technology in common foundry
production.
