Anotace:
The article presents how Polish education is changing under the
influence of increasing migration processes. It is mainly about the dynamically
growing number of students with experience of migration in Polish
schools, as well as the related problems of teachers. These problems are
related to the lack of preparation for working with students with migrant
background, as well as the insufficient number of supporting materials.
The author also presents the institutional support that the state provides to
migrants in Polish schools. One of the supporting elements is also modeling
work with students who have little knowledge of the Polish language. One
of such models is the JES-PL Method, which is primarily used to develop
the language of students needed to acquire knowledge, i.e. the language of schooling. The article presents the theoretical basis of the method and the
main steps that lead to the preparation of materials supporting the learning
of students with migrant background.
