Anotace: The article analyzes Polish and Czech public notices from the perspective of their stylistic features. It focuses on similarities and differences between public notices and specific administrative documents. Much attention is paid to two terms: notice/notification and rules/regulations, terms denoting both public notices and documents. The analysis concentrates on the first type and is illustrated with authentic notices found in the public spaces of Polish and Czech cities.
