Environmental issues are seen as a major part of the world risks landscape. Among them, the most important is global climate change and its impacts. Also critical is the rapid reduction of biological diversity. Other problems are connected with the key resources of food, water and energy. Environmental pollution is a universal global problem too. Some elements of the future outlook are given.
