Anotace:
The paper examines Cicero‘s Partitiones oratoriae from the perspective of modern
textbook theory, speci昀椀cally from the perspective of the so-called „learning potentiality“. It presents a series of 36 components, by means of which the learning
potentiality of an educational medium is evaluated. The paper includes a selection of excerpts that represent these components. In some cases, the de昀椀nition
of components has to be modi昀椀ed to 昀椀t the speci昀椀cities of the ancient text.
In the end, it turns out that Cicero‘s text achieves comparable results to some
modern established textbooks.
