Anotace:
a number of advanced countries have been engaged
for several years at the onset of the 4th Industrial
revolution, for which the term Industry 4.0 began to
be used in the czech republic. Individual elements of
this revolution, based on, for example, the Internet of
things or the Industrial Internet, cybernetic-physical
systems and artificial intelligence, will have real economic
and social transformation impacts. despite the
fact that for many practitioners and academics there
will not be unknown information presented here, it is
clear that the czech republic is not sufficiently prepared
for these changes. this article aims to define,
on the basis of the available literary and news sources,
how the requirements for the competence of employees
in the metallurgical industry are changing in relation
to this trend.
