Anotace:
This year we celebrate the centenary of the birth of one of the most famous and most important
Sicilian novelists in the modern history of Italian literature. In fact, Leonardo Sciascia was a writer
and later also a politician who denounced the Sicilian and Italian situation in his articles and
in his stories and novels. His writing and perfect knowledge of the Sicilian situation led him
to enter politics, first in the ranks of the Italian Communist Party, then in the Radical Party.
His struggle to denounce a world that continues to be corrupt is still an example today, when
organized crime in Italy has strong economic, social but also political power.
