Landscape visual assessment provides important information that indicates how people perceive the landscape, and the assessment also identifies key elements of the landscape character and records aesthetic and perceptual qualities of the area. This paper therefore focuses on the main principles and aspects of visual landscape assessment currently employed in the Czech Republic.
