Anotace:
3D printing as an additive layer by layer
manufacturing approach brings about many
advantages into production. Our research was
therefore focused on the comparison of stainless
steel AISI 316L prepared by Selective Laser
Melting (SLM) with a material prepared by
conventional multiple-step fabrication route
represented by casting, forging and machining
into the final form. The aim was to demonstrate
if 3D printing technology is able to substitute
conventional technologies while preserving
demanded product properties. First set
of measurements proved comparable
microstructure and mechanical properties.
