On the stabilized structures in the contemporary German business communication
Business communication is increasingly becoming an integral aspect of both professional
and personal life. The article deals with the most common stabilized structures, idioms
and collocations characteristic of German business correspondence and used in the fi eld
of professional communication. Signifi cant attention is paid to contemporary trends in the
language of business practice and to the comparison of traditional commercial letters,
e-mails and faxes.
