Anotace:
A car belonged to the lifestyle of only a tiny minority of people in Slovakia after the
establishment of Czechoslovakia. However, the number of car aficionados grew steadily during
the interwar period. This development did not diminish even during WWI, although the majority
of private cars were confiscated for the army. Car users were bound by several restrictions, which
significantly limited their mobility. Even the services of professional drivers were hardly helpful.
The road infrastructure was utterly inadequate. The main tourist destinations, as the most perspective trip destination for drivers, were not prepared for cars. As a result, instead of a relaxing
event, the care drive was often a tiresome experience.
