Anotace:
Nationally, the maternal mortality rate in Indonesia has dropped from 305 deaths per 100,000 live births to 189 deaths for 100,000 living births. The top three causes of maternal death are preeclampsia. Preeclampsia in pregnancy is the leading cause of death of 37%. This study was conducted to determine factors associated with preeclampsia among pregnant women in Indonesia. This scoping review method has the following inclusion criteria: scientific journals published most recently from January 2023 to December 2023. The research found 15 studies to fulfil the inclusion criteria determined by the author and topic discussion. Risk factors for preeclampsia among pregnant women were identified: parity, distance between pregnancies, pregnancy age, history of abortion, education, income, knowledge, prior history of illness, contraceptive use, ANC visit, nutritional status, and Body Mass Index (BMI). This research can be used as a reference for health promotion related to preeclampsia risk factors for intervention to prevent preeclampsia in pregnant women who are at risk of developing the disease and putting the lives of the mother and the fetus she is carrying at risk.
