is in many ways a benefit for various industries
but a number of negative aspects is associated with
it. this contribution lists the statistical data on the
aluminium production, it summarizes and gives in the
relation the stages of Al alloys casting production and
their environmental impacts. It describes the stages
including the primary production of aluminium and its
metallurgical processing, melting in foundries, metallurgical
treatment, heat treatment and the phases of
using the casting. ecological aspects are listed, in
particular from the perspective of energy demands on
heating and melting but also from the perspective of
other impacts on the environment.
