development and propose the desired direction of using energy
storage technologies in the analysed period to distribution system
operators (DSO) to develop renewable energy on a regional and local
scale. The article presents the results of research on various types of
energy storage technologies that can be used in the distribution
system, such as a reservoir with EDLC (Electric Double-Layer
Capacitors) supercapacitors, a reservoir with LIC (Lithium-Ion
Capacitor) supercapacitors, a reservoir with LFP (Lithium Ferro)
batteries. Phosphate LiFe PO4), a container with LTO (Lithium
Titanate Oxide) batteries and a container with VRLA (Valve
Regulated Lead Acid) batteries. It should be emphasised that due to
the continuously more frequent problems with increased fluctuations
in active power in distribution networks, the proposed model for
optimising the use of electricity is an important approach to the
rationalisation of actions and decisions made by distribution network
operators (DSO). The research undertaken contributes to the
development of knowledge concerning low carbon energy transition,
as well as the energy storage subsystem.
