The usage of songs in foreign languages lessons focused on teaching German language
This article deals with the use of songs in teaching German. Music cannot be only a popular
leisure activity, but also an effective material used in a foreign language teaching. In the first part,
the most important terms relevant to the topic were described. Attention was given to the most
important methodological concepts, with the focus on the question of how songs can be used
in the context of these concepts. Afterwards, Pokorný‘s (2020) research and its results were
presented. The aim of this research was to describe and verify the current situation of the use
of songs in German lessons.
